SmartStop Self Storage - Dufferin

This facility is only good if you have a short term need for storage. The facility is clean and well lit and the staff is friendly. The starting price is more than fair on the units. However if you plan to use the storage for more than 6 months then beware, you will get hit with a price increase every 6 months and they are not small increases we are talking $100 or more per month. The contract does state that they have the right to increase the rent and seriously I am ok if it was $25 to $30 per year but every 6 months at more than $100? That is unreasonable. The joke is that if I want to rent the same unit today the price is much cheaper if I was a new customer. I guess that's how they reel you in. Very misleading business practice. Very unsatisfied with the unjust rental increases and for this reason alone I give it a 1 star.

Good first time experience. Small storage but will able to fit a good amount of boxes. Gun was really helpful in showing the different sizes of units and explaining all details.

Amazing convenient location with easy access to gas station, vehivle dock station near by gym(goodlife-fitness), Mandarin restaurant and amazing people! Fast service month to month or auto pay! It's easy as 1•2•3 abc!

Quick and easy registration. Super friendly and helpful staff! Gun took me for a tour around the facility and helped me rent my unit. Highly recommend

I am disappointed with the customer service at this location as they unexpectedly added hidden fees to my bill and altered my gate password without justification. Being outside of Canada, I requested my friend to retrieve an item from my locker, but he was denied access and staff members declined to communicate with me over the phone.
